We are a community of women who believe our stories are what unite us. Our stories are what level the playing field. Our stories are what make us human.

Society tells us that we should stay in our comfort zone, surrounded by people who look and think and act just like us. But life should never be lived in an echo chamber. We know that women are strong, brave, and beautiful, no matter the heritage, socioeconomic status, skin color, political party, religious affiliation, parenting style, or plethora of other personal preferences.

We believe that, by sharing our stories in a variety of mediums, we can change the narrative. And perhaps, even create a new one. A grander tale, rooted in hope and grace and truth that defeats the lies of discontent, of prejudice, of isolation.

We believe in a better way. A way that reminds us that we are all born of one humanity and formed into one family. We are the product of all who have gone before, and we are charting a new path together because when we hear her story, she is no longer a stranger; she is kindred.

She is Kindred: a storytelling collective. By women, for women.

Who We Are

We know that connection is cultivated in many ways, and each person relates to another’s story uniquely. Each month, She is Kindred will focus on a specific theme and center our conversations and community around it through various mediums, including a weekly podcast, written essays & blog posts, and creative art pieces that remind us of the narratives we’re navigating together.
