We’re kicking off a new series, “How to Be Whole: a Holistic Approach to Being Human,” and over the next several weeks, we’ll be diving deep into four categories of wholeness: physical, emotional, relational, and spiritual. We’ll talk through the ways these are all interconnected and why how we were designed as beings made of body, soul, mind, and spirit. To jumpstart the conversation, Britt sits down with Dr. Abbe Keen to chat about physical health and wholeness, the tangible starting place for many of us to take inventory. Abbe shares her own personal journey toward becoming a doctor and why she has made it her mission to educate families and transform their familial legacy through her work.

Dr. Abbe Keen is the owner of Crossroads Chiropractic, a St. Louis-based wellness center, where she spends her days investing in the lives of families and specializing in caring for mothers and babies. Her heart is to run her practice free of fear or shame, and to meet her patients in the middle of their concerns, discipling them toward better health, so they can be the best versions of themselves for service to their families, their communities, and to God. She and her husband, Taylor, are parents to four children, and enjoy time spent outdoors and soaking in every new season as a family together.
In this episode, Britt talks with Dr. Abbe Keen about:
-The importance of educating and understanding what it means to live wholly
-The difference between “holistic” and “wholistic” and the distinction between knowledge and wisdom
-The importance of curiosity over judgment when it comes to viewing our lives
-The ways that faith informs our health and whole lives
-How we should look for practitioners who treat the whole person
